Since my new year resolution is to read more books, I hope that I can discuss more on what I've read here.Recently, migrant literature has captured my attention.

The emergence of diaspora writers who attempt to expose the readers about their struggle in living outside of their native land, signals the development of migrant literature in our country. Migrant literature mainly touches on the theme of homeland and displacement. Both themes are real eye-opener to all citizens in terms of understanding other races which finally excites tolerances in diversity.
You know what,we are reaching 2017, yet "melayu malas" ,"cina samseng" " india penipu"are still part of our lore. This prejudice is likely to be an external factor for the sense of displacement among diaspora community in our country. Besides, there is no doubt that in this Malay dominating culture; other races would absolutely feel like they are exile in their own country, not to mention about the ‘Non-Bumiputera’ thing which hauntingly brings them to a never-ending dilemma. #justsayin #NOHARM
